Extreme Sports Holiday Insurance dispute

Postby sammielee on Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:45 am

My husband broke his leg in Egypt 2 months ago and cost us nearly £2000 for treatment and to come home early, but now our insurance company says they won't pay out to cover the costs because we were not covered for extreme sport even though we were only paragliding!
Can this be right? and if so is there anyone we can appeal to as we don't think this should be the case!
Any advice would be really appreciated anyone..

Hey SammieLee,

Should be covered by the Financial Ombudsman if its a UK company - tel them at 0845 080 1800) or enquiries@financial-ombudsman.org.uk

Hope that helps , Andsxxx

It may sound obvious but have you tried Claims direct (or a.n.other claims company?)
