What about a luxury cruise around the middle east. We recently took such a cruise - flew to Dubai [flight time 7 hours from heathrow], saw some of Dubai then onto Muscat [Oman - saw the dolphins..], then on to Fujairah, Abu Dhabi then Bahrain - absolute luxury and hot! People were so friendly and it was a great introduction to UAE

The only disapointment really that we could not have more time in each place, only a day then ontp the next destination but then thats the nature of a cruise.

Not a holiday for the kids [thank f for grand parents] but different from the usual - not as expensive as you might yhink but i never found out the actual price. My husband is far too romantic to say.......
